MeChelle and Micah : Wedding | The Allen Farmhaus

Imagine a lovely open-air chapel sitting in the middle of Texas fields, under a gorgeous wide sky. The weather is an amazing temperature for the middle of February and there’s a slight breeze. This is the scene at The Allen Farmhaus in New Braunfels, Texas.

Micah had a rule, he wouldn’t date a friend. But as we heard at the rehearsal dinner, quite a few people thought he should break his rule when it came to MeChelle. Micah did end up making an exception to his rule and fell in love with his amazing friend, MeChelle.

This was our first wedding of 2020 and it was the perfect way to kick things off. I’ve known Micah for half my life now and I was really excited he had us come down to Texas to photograph their day. It was so great to see a few of our friends from so long ago. And after meeting MeChelle I know why Micah made an exception and so easily fell in love. They compliment each other so well. Not that they need it, but Tim and I approve whole-heartedly of this match.

If you visit New Braunfels you’ll notice there is a lot of German influence. (Hence the spelling of the venue.) It was so fun to have everyone dancing to the polka band at the reception. Micah works in politics and you’ll be able to see how they incorporated a few touches of that as well. And Micah surprising his bride with a song at the reception was the icing on the cake and got a standing ovation.

“Micah and MeChelle rang the bell in the back of the church as soon as they walked down the aisle.”

People were able to be outside for yard games, and the sunset over the fields was beautiful. I couldn’t get enough of the adorable chapel, and the wooden walkway leading up to it. Micah and MeChelle rang the bell in the back of the church as soon as they walked down the aisle. The whole day had special touches like that. We were in Texas so of course tacos for dinner was a hit, and pretty much everyone stayed till the sparkler exit at the very end because no one wanted to leave. Micah and MeChelle, you two are fantastic as people, I can only imagine how awesome it’s going to be with you two as a team.
