Last Friday was a beautiful day. Megan and Zac made it through a crazy year of planning through Covid. They were finally able to have their wedding in the Canyon at Pine Creek. When Megan contacted me about shooting on Sept. 18th I had to think twice. See, it was our tenth wedding anniversary that day. I talked it over with Tim and we both decided we really wanted to shoot for Megan and Zac. And we both have lots of fun shooting together so why not. We could celebrate the rest of the week. The weather was gorgeous. The perfect temperature you’d expect for a Summer wedding transitioning into Fall. I was so happy they got such a pretty day.
Megan could not have been more beautiful and Zac was looking pretty dapper himself. They had so many special details mixed into the day. Megan had her grandma’s necklace and earrings that she had worn on her wedding day. Zac’s grandma made jewelry dishes back in the day that I shot the details on. Zac’s wedding band was engraved with their song and wedding date. His cufflinks were engraved with her handwriting. The guest’s favors had to do with coffee because Megan is obsessed with Dunkin’ Donuts and the seating chart was printed on vinyl records as a nod to Zac’s love of music.
I was so happy to have time to sneak away for just married pictures in a field nearby. The canyon had so many beautiful places to shoot, but golden hour in the field was the icing on the cake. Scroll down and you’ll see why I was one happy photographer. Oh and Megan’s veil and train, I couldn’t get over them. Just gorgeous. We all loved hearing the vows they had written to each other. It’s so obvious how perfect these two are for each other.
