I met Shannon when I was over in the French Alps.

She was so friendly and easy to get to know!

She is also a photographer and we all know what that means….she never gets to be on the front side of the camera.

I thought we should change that for the day.

At first she didn’t know what she thought of this whole photo session thing, but

I think she changed her mind by the time we were done.

It’s so funny to me how we photographers can tell people exactly how to pose, where to look and how you should put your hands etc.

but when it comes to our own pictures we’re like…ehhhh help,

now what am I supposed to do?!?

Putting all that aside, we had a great time

and we figured out that just as I suspected,

she indeed is photogenic.

She’s been coming over to help with a camp in France for the past seven or eight years.

How cool is that?!?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE her blue eyes!!!

I was so excited when I saw what Shannon had picked out to wear for the shoot.

I told her we needed to climb up this hill to a barn I had seen on one of my walks.

She though I was really weird….that is until she saw the color of the doors.

And my crazy photographer insaneness was explained.

One of my friends was excited that I was going over to France because she knows I have this extreme attraction to colorful doors.

Well she was right, as I was driving through that country I saw amazing door upon amazing door and it was killing me that we couldn’t stop!!

For real, a.m.a.z.i.n.g. doors!

Can’t you just see me in the back of our rented van watching blue, green, orange and pink doors go by

staring at them till they went out of sight.

(sigh) Well even if you can’t imagine it, that’s what happened.:P
