Tim and Becky : Fort Lauderdale Photographer | Wedding

Wow, we all knew going into this wedding that it was going to be special, but wow. Tim and Becky have such a special story of how their lives came together as husband and wife. And everyone is very thrilled for them.

Tim is from Fort Lauderdale he got ready the day of in the family home he grew up in. He read the letter Becky had written to him in his old bedroom. It was the same room he had spent many hours praying about the one he would eventually marry. Becky’s family traveled down from Michigan for the happy event. The entire wedding party was made completely of family, you’ll see why that’s impressive once you scroll down. Could two better-looking families combine? I doubt it.

Tim is an artist so if you see any gorgeous landscape painting hanging around in the pictures they were painted by him. And it turns out he’s good at designing jewelry too and came up with the idea and design for their ring set all on his own. Becky looked just radiant in her gown and all the girl’s different shades of purple were gorgeous.

I’ll be honest I had my eye on the weather app for most of the weekend. We were up to 80% of rain at many points of the day and I was thinking through options. I had found a backup location to shoot the very large bridal party but thank God we didn’t have to use it. We ended up being able to take most of the portraits in the backyard, just like Tim and Becky had hoped.

“It’s so wonderful to see two people committed to God and their new marriage in such a powerful way. “

The ceremony was held at one of the oldest churches around, one that Tim’s family helped start many years ago. All the pews were filled with family, friends from close, and lots of friends from far. It was a pleasant surprise to see so many of my own friends and family there. The whole day felt completely happy, God-honoring and like a family reunion. (Our minds were officially blown when we figure out that with Tim and Becky getting married that nine families are now “related” by marriage. So “technically/not technically” Tim and I, the whole bridal party and a few other guests are all “related” now. I guess it was a family reunion after all! )

It was so special to see just how much Tim and Becky’s siblings love and look up to them. You can tell when speeches are just nice fancy words but the speeches and stories from their siblings were totally heartfelt, so sweet, and of course funny. The ceremony was just amazing. One of my favorites to date. I was crying by the end. It’s so wonderful to see two people committed to God and their new marriage in such a powerful way.

Tim and Becky, Tim (I mean Porter) and I think you’re both amazing and pray the Lord’s blessings on you as you start this remarkable journey called marriage. Thank you for letting us capture this amazing day.
