Zach and Amy : Wedding at The Stone Rest Venue | Greenville, IN

For years I’ve come home after a wedding late at night (sometimes early morning). I get back to my house unload gear, and start backing up images. There’s normally a babysitter that’s watched our children all day and has stayed up late to put everyone to bed and wait for us to get back. Sometimes that lovely person was Amy. I’d get back and she’d listen as I told the sweet and sometimes funny stories of the day. Saturday it was Amy’s turn to be the bride and make her own sweet memories.

Amy and Miguel  Zach Miguel met as coworkers at Chick-fil-A. I don’t know what to call him because we all know his name is Zach, but Amy thought his name was Miguel because that’s what everyone called him at work. Miguel is in fact his last name, but Amy has called him by his last name for years so it’s hard to make the switch. To many of us, the new couple is now Amy and Miguel Miguel.

Amy and Miguel/Zach got married at The Stone Rest Event Venue in Greenville, IN. The weather forecast kept switching every hour but they ended up having a totally dry day with no rain. The sun came out brilliantly just in time for the last few minutes of golden hour portraits. The pine trees, long grass, wildflowers, and Amy’s gorgeous hair made me feel like we were in some sort of sweet scene from Anne of Green Gables.

I think the pictures speak for themselves in showing just how happy everyone is for these two. There were so many big smiles and happy squeals throughout the whole day.

“I think the pictures speak for themselves in showing just how happy everyone is for these two.”

These two did something I’ve never seen before at any of my weddings. During the ceremony, Amy came down the aisle first and was waiting for Zach. They wanted to symbolize how Christ comes for His bride who is waiting for Him. It was super unique and a sweet picture. Zach was so excited he almost skipped up the aisle. I know for sure he did a happy jump on the way back!

Miguel and Amy love people and wanted to spend as much time with their friends as possible at the reception. They had games at each table and even joined a rousing game of Dutch Blitz right before their send-off. There were a bunch of tears happening as some of their siblings gave heartfelt speeches describing just how much Amy and Zach have impacted their lives. Overall the day was beautiful, sweet, and God-honoring.

Amy and Miguel, we’re so happy for you and love you two together!
