What a lovely evening I had meeting one of my 2021 couples! We met at Herrick Lake in Wheaton for their engagement shoot. Kyle and Melissa were guests at this dreamy winter wedding I shot last year.  I was so happy when they reached out about their own wedding! Kyle proposed to Melissa with a gorgeous oval ring. It has a mix of rose and white gold. He proposed on a beach in Mexico and then the whole world got crazy and they just made it back home before the lockdowns. Being at home for a few months did facilitate lots of wedding planning though!

I’ve noticed recently that photographers in the Midwest mention how beautiful the weather is, often. I think it’s because we don’t take good weather for granted. It could be raining or snowing or super hot, you never know. Anyways, the weather was gorgeous at Herrick Lake and we got a beautiful sunset over the water. So happy!
