Ft. Lauderdale Sunrise Shoot
When we were down in Ft. Lauderdale for Becky and Tim’s wedding we snuck in another shoot. Also, I’m just going to say right here that I really like Ft. Lauderdale. I had never been there to visit before and we really had a great time. The last morning we were there we were able to meet up with Chris and Michaela who we had met earlier this year while we were a marriage/business conference. The timing was perfect because they were launching their new website rebrand in just a few days and needed new portraits together.
The way the trip worked out it was going to be better to schedule the shoot for sunrise. Chris is admittedly not a morning person and neither are we. But we rallied and sacrificed our sleeping-in morning for the greater good. The sun was coming up beautifully and they arrived dressed so perfectly matching their brand. As we walked out to the beach we saw dolphins swimming off the shore, it was great.
As I stated before we were in Ft. Lauderdale for a wedding but it was also our 9th anniversary week. So we wanted to stay at least one extra day to celebrate since we were there. We can’t say no to some ocean time. (Although I did get stung by a jellyfish for the first time, but that’s a different story.) Anyways, back to the shoot. Since it was our anniversary we also got some portraits, that I’m in love with, I might add.
It was great seeing Chris and Michaela, and I’m so glad we were able to squeeze in the shoot just in time for them. Their new site looks great and I’m happy for them as they continue their new adventure of a husband and wife photography team.
