When I was three I prayed for a little brother and I prayed he would be born on my birthday, he was.
That being the case as a kid growing up I always felt a special connection or protection over my little birthday gift.
We had a great childhood filled with so may hours of make believe, running around outside, sports, and long conversations on the kitchen floor.
There was one thing I could never get him to tell me though and that was what girl he liked.
Try as we might us sisters could never get him to spill the beans.

Last weekend that little brother got married to Emily. His over-half-his-lifetime-secret-crush.
His perfect match. I mean, they even look like each other already!
It was a most beautiful Spring day in the history of Spring.
Andrew and Emily had a sweet and simple ceremony with their family and friends at Gary Memorial Methodist Chapel in Wheaton Illinois.
Emily wore her grandmother’s gown and looked just lovely.
There were so many sweet and touching moments throughout the day.
There were so many sweet and touching moments throughout the day.
I may or may not have teared up a few times.
During the reception we got to hear a little bit of Emily’s journal and it was the icing on the cake to all of us sisters ‘giving our blessing’ to this girl stealing our brother away.
We knew Andrew liked Emily for half his life, and it turns out Emily liked Andrew for just as long.
It was a very sweet thing to see them finally become man and wife.
In true Andrew and Emily adventure type fashion they’re off on a backpacking European honeymoon.
Have a great time you two! Bring me back some schnitzel.
