The Wilds, Wedding in Bloomington

Many of my couples wait a year (or two) to get married. And with covid many timelines have been all crazy. But with Denry and Alexis not only did they wait a year for their wedding, but they also haven’t been able to see each other for a year! Derny is military and came back on leave to marry his love a few days ago. And I’ll never forget his reaction to her coming down the aisle to him. So sweet!

They got married at The Wilds, the ever-lovely Bloomington, Indiana wedding venue. Alexis had me do her bridal portraits a few weeks ago, then we squeezed in their engagement shoot two days before the wedding. It was fun and different to see them two times in one week!

As soon as I arrived at The Wilds I could tell this was a family affair. There were adorable little kids all around and most of the guests were family, or friends that are as close as family. The ceremony was a small intimate gathering and really sweet.

I really loved the colors for this wedding! If you know me at all you’ll see why. Give me allll the mint blue! Alexis’ hair was done by the talented Kelsey Taylor owner of Beauty Therapy. The adorable and delicious cake was done by Farmhouse Cakes. And the party was MC’ed by Complete Indianapolis.
