Buckingham Fountain Chicago Wedding Pictures
I have the lovely wedding of Marisa and Justin to show you today!
Marisa told me months ago that she had a few places in downtown Chicago that were very special to her. In fact, now that I think of it, every place we shot at had significance to the couple. Buckingham Fountain is a favorite place for Justin and Marisa to hang out and Marisa also remembers driving around it with her dad when she was young. The LaSalle Street Church opened its doors as a ceremony venue. The church has gorgeous stained glass that has meaning to Justin, Marisa, and their story together. You’ll also see there is a nod to the glass in their cake design. We shot at the old Chicago Water Tower, a last place standing in the great Chicago fire. Even their getting-ready hotel The Palmer House had a special memory as the place they “stumbled upon” during a rain they got caught in while downtown.
It’s not always easy to coordinate logistics in a big city like Chicago. And we can’t control the weather, obviously. But overall the day turned out just gorgeous and very special. There was a chance of thunderstorms during portrait time, but the clouds ended up making the lighting ideal, and it never rained. Marisa was glowing the entire day. You’ll see what I mean when you scroll down. She loves bright colors and probably had the most colorful bridal party I’ve ever photographed. Justin was very dapper in his suit and gray tie. And I loved watching them just have fun together all day.
