They grew up together, and their families were friends for generations back. But even though they grew up with each other there wasn’t a ‘spark’ until they became adults. The time came for Scott to leave for college and in his own words, “I didn’t know I was leaving my heart behind.” Speaking of his own words, this whole wedding day was super sweet and full of really precious details. Let’s start with Scott writing and singing a song for his bride during the ceremony. It was the most beautiful thing and I can’t get the tune out of the head. Then we have Leah who gifted Scott her journal that she wrote to her future husband from age 16 on. Talk about special touches!

It was so fun and sweet that the church was the same that both sets of parents got married in almost 30 years ago. We loved meeting all the family and friends throughout the day! The bridal party was filled with quality friends and lots of cousins and family. You could tell everyone just really loves Scott and Leah. There were moments during the day when all you could hear was sniffling and happy tears.

Leah rented a gorgeous New England styled home for the girls to get ready in that morning. A special moment was when a doe and her new fawn came right past while Leah was getting her hair done. The girls wore blush and the guys were in sharp-looking navy suits. Leah was surprised with the gown she fell in love with. She went dress shopping thinking she wanted something else. But when she tried this dress on she said she couldn’t take it off, she had found her dress.

The ceremony and reception were held in charming New England. I had a blast playing the Boston Wedding Photographer for the day. The forecast wasn’t calling for rain the day before. But just as we were preparing for golden hour portraits a very ominous cloud filled with rain and lightning rolled in. Leah and Scott were brave and ran out for a few portraits and we made some pretty funny memories in the process of trying not to get wet when the downpour started. Thankfully the sun came out one more time at the end of the night and became the most amazing sunset for them.

Scott and Leah, it’s so evident to everyone that your lives were meant to join together. We’re all very happy for you as you start this amazing adventure. Thank you for bringing Tim and me all the way out East for your lovely wedding!
