Rock Island Lake Club Wedding

I have a gorgeous wedding to share with you today!

I met Reid when I photographed her sister’s wedding in Colonial Williamsburg in 2019. Eddie was also there and I remember thinking to myself, these two are so cute together! Fast forward a few years and “that cute couple” asked if I could come out and shoot their wedding also. Of course, I was thrilled to photograph for them! I was honored to be asked back to shoot for this awesome family. It felt like a reunion when I walked in the door.

Rock Island Lake Club was the first venue Reid and Eddie visited and they instantly loved it. (Side note, some of THE best wedding food I’ve ever seen in the last 16+ years.)

The whole day was filled with many, many happy tears. These two have been together for about 8 years and both families and all their friends were thrilled to witness such a happy event. Eddie and Reid incorporated a few unique elements into their ceremony. They chose to read their vows privately to each other at their first look. It was very sweet. Then for their ceremony, they incorporated an old Irish tradition called “ring warming”. They passed their rings around to their bridal party and family and asked that they hold the rings and say a prayer or blessings over them. Reid’s dad officiated which was also really sweet as well.

Reid was gorgeous and glowing, and Eddie was very dapper in his bowtie and unique blue suit.

DJ Bobby kept the party going and we even had a fog machine! I keep using the word sweet, but it just was, everything about the day was sweet and heartfelt.
